I'm still sick :< ... so you guys are gonna have to put up with my cra- I mean, art. I scribbled this in mah sketchbook and then coloured it in like an hour or something.Uhh there's no set story behind it. That there boy is Nari of course and he's staring at... magic? Meh. I really do like that pose :3
I'd move it into Scraps but at the moment that means nothing to deviantART, so suffer

I see poses similar to this, or even just something that I particularly like, and can't get my mind off of it. And like you, I would draw it just to keep the pose for posterity. You can see my latest drawing, and the hard sought pose that took 3 weeks to find.

Is it like a temple or something? and I like how Nari looks. He's like a ewe little boy, and he's frowning, which shows a bit more of a serious-kind of cuteness.

He's a Sirin, which are part red wolf. He's just got his furry tiger stripe jacket sliding down his arms and shoulders :3 He's not normally frowny either. He's more of the carefree type~

Oh I also like this pose, but he don't look very carefully at the magic I think XD (it seems like if he is looking at the "tail" of the magic...
Anyway, I also love the blue light effect and always your work on light and shade... keep that work!!

its nice! I like his expression. The only problem I can see is that hes staring above the magicystuff. Not that it matters, he's still staring at it, just...whatever. I love how you can see the pencil through the color

That is gorgeous, I love the way the...magic? swirls and kind of mingles with the atmosphere, gorgeous. Well hope you give us some more of you cra - I mean art and that you get better soon.

i like your lighting effects in this image, they are very interesting, however my eye seems to keep looking at the side of the drawing in the warm light, rather in the center where the main action in the image is. if the light on the right hand side wasn't too strong, the fcuos would be more towards the middle of your image where your character is looking.
it is overall a lovely imgae, your characters are becoming more and more detailed and interesting to the eye, and your shading tecniquies are getting alot more defined and spectacular to look at. you really are a very inceredible artist.

I think you're right: the image has a very unbalanced composition. That could be because I added an extra few hundred of pixels of darkness to what is now the left side when the image was near completion, because I don't like square images. I should have moved the magic swirl across.

I actually like the one you did in oC better, though this one is much more refined. The blue swirl of electricity (zomg it reminds me of Evan's picture) looks like a caterpillar, can you see the little eyes? And the smile? But I daresay, you really showed off your lighting skills in this

Woah, I like that effect, Nari's entranced look is quite endearing, he looks a little older too. Mmmh...the blurry background, well, I understand the focus is on the character and you did it really fast, but maybe it's a tad too blurry?
