What's wrong with the M14? It's a high-power rifle.

Oh no, it's considered one of the worst battle rifle ever created by US Army (although it's also one of the finest weapon for sniper due to its weight and accuracy). Very heavy and large round with 7.62mm NATO, gives high recoil effect even in single shot moreover full-automatic. Easily to be jammed by rough condition especially in Vietnam war. It's why US Government released M16A1 one month faster because of the failure of M14.

But don't worry, M14 sniper (known as M21) now is still used because, of the weight and caliber, very match to be used as sniper and DM weapon like Dragunov SVD.

My mistake I thought it looked like the carbine used in WW2. I apologise.
