Where did you get this?
- Rare fact that few people ever notice: You can't see stars just because you're in space. You see stars when your eyes adjust to the darkness of night, so you can see dimmer things. The atmosphere doesn't vanish at night!
So even when you're in space or on the moon - if your eyes are adjusted to daylight, you won't see stars. (Except the brightest star in the sky - serius).

Most art depictions show stars in the background, I like the black background for realism AND because it better captures the vast, endless emptiness of space. View Earth from afar off - just a little marble in an endless black void.
