Saphora's life has been a tragic one. Born to a family of Spice Traders from Csilla, they made their life on board their ship. At the age of 4, they were attacked by Pirates, and abducted as slaves. Her father would die in captivity, as her mother was sold into slavery, and separated from Sephora. She was raised by a human slave named Pele on Kessel. For most of her young life, she was trained in cleaning, and handling weapons, as well her mathematical skills. Over time her mind was well trained in reading others who bargained with the Pyke's. She would be considered a valuable assett to the Pykes, and even given freedom to go off world as a negotiator. In 27 BBY, a trade negotiation went bad with the Black Sun, who killed her Pyke masters, and taken their loot, as well as Sephora as their own. Yet Sephora proven to them she was more than a slave. Holding her own against the advances of members, and her ability to fire a blaster, they made her a member of the Black Sun. She honed her skills, and became an accomplished mercenary. So accomplished she earned her freedom, and became a Bounty Hunter. Her success was only over shadowed by Jango Fett, and Cad Bane, yet her reputation for never failing when given her asking price was her key to becoming somewhat lengendary.

By the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Sephora chosen not to take work from the Separatist, as well the republic, and instead went to work exclusively for the Hutts. In 19 BBY, Gorga hired her to track down Rey Trub, and Marta Sul, and return the Lucky Lady.
