Description The Brief
By a strange coincidence, the French explorer and navigator La Perouse arrived in Botany Bay within a day or two of the arrival of Captain Arthur Phillip and the First Fleet. Imagin the winds had permitted the French to arrive ahead of the English and Australia had become a French colony.
Create a set of banknotes which we would be using if we were discovered by the French first, using your ideas and theories about how Australia would be. Consider security measures while making your notes and have at least 3 within them.

Explanation
My focus on these banknotes are people who have had an effect on the world. As Australia would adopt the french history as part of its own (like we do now with the Brittish history) many of these people would be important to how Australia would be if the French landed before the Brittish.
I wanted to keep a similar feel to the banknotes we currently have, by keeping a bright colour scheme we currently have, the clear windows in each corner and printing the notes out on the same materials, as i believe that this material still would of be created even if the French landed first.
Another feature I plan to add is a Braille system onto my notes to help blind people tell the difference between the notes easily. It would be done with raised ink, higher than the secrity feature so they won’t have any trouble knowing what it is. I have yet to see a banknote that has this feature implimented, so I thought it would be a good idea to try it out.

Maybe it would have been a happier fate for the French explorer had he landed first and then went home as the discoverer or conqueror of Australia. As it was he and his men died in shipwreck at Vanikoro a few weeks after. Fortunately for his fame, Le Perouse sent a complete copy of his records back to France while he resumed his ill-fated sea journey.
