Okay don't hate me but baby bats are always so effin cute to me. Don't feel discouraged about not knowing any other goths. In my entire history of being, I have only had one and we aren't very close (location wise and friendship wise). Very awkward. Just hang around people that make you happy.

Yeah. Lately I'm more into the scene, I've learned enough to feel a lot more attuned to the Victorian branch with all the eccentricity involved, I love the idea of a Victorian style, maybe a little bit of a military influence for clothes. I've already planned out a coat and plan to learn how to make clothes for myself as well as many other items and soon I plan to redecorate my room with something more comfortable. And thanks Trellia, these 'stereo-type' classifications were helpful. I also found out the other day that when my mother was a teenager, she was there for the beginning of Goth, she called it the 'New wave'. I find it interesting how my own mother even at one point at least tried the culture. Maybe it's a sign she'll be more accepting if I do dress and decorate more extravagantly.

I wanted to make my clothes for a while too but now I'm going into jewelry more. Room decorating is a good start. Its your own space and a good place for progress/thinking/etc. Trellia's infographics are definitely helpful for new Goths. I wish I had known about them when I started off. Unfortunately, the Baby Bat one is all donked with an argument right now but it'll eventually pass. If your mother was around the "New Wave" I'm sure she'll be more accepting. Have fun in trying new stuff

As a Taurus see accuracies here. Some may be simply personal, but I am not a person of tradition. I am indeed pagan, though I mix bits and pieces to make my own path. And I do love me some trinkets, and general shiny things, of any fashion. Goth included. Of course.Β
