Description So this is a project we did in my illustration class. The assignment was to create a creature out of two or more already existing creatures.

Can anyone guess what two animals have been combined to make this creatures?

I made this using white scratchboard to which I added ink onto. I had a lot of fun with this project (even though it kicked my arse) and learned a new artform. Awesome!

I love how this came out. I would have liked to have made a background, too but I lost my nerve. lol My sister wants me to give her the original but she just might have to settle fo a photocopy. It's just too cool to give away! XD

I've been busy, too. (As you can see from my late ass reply) But I haven't been busy drawing. I've been applying for work (a lot) and just started job training for a new full time job. And I might work part time as a sign twirler for Liberty Tax and maybe still go to school. lol I don't know what to do. I'm always overloading myself cuz I wanna do it all. Any advice for a workaholic?

Good for you for getting out there and looking for a job. I'm impressed. Once seasonal depression kicks in for me I'm a lazy ass slug. lol
My advice is not to overload yourself and that bubble baths are essential to relaxing after a day of work. Also chocolate does a nip of a trick. XD

this is awesome! I like the combination, I think it makes two already very mysterious animals even more mysterious. I especially love the peacock feathers.

Wow! Thanks. I've always found peacocks to be mysterious creatures and dear, too. The feathers are really beautiful. I'd give anything to be able to paint a peacock. Hm. Maybe I should try for my next project.

I'm glad to have shown you a new art style. Go on eBay and type in "scratch board aceo" and you will see all kinds of kick as designs. I just found out about this art form myself. It's difficult to get the hang of in the beginning but after a few tries you will love using scratchcard and get results just like this!

Thanks a lot. I was going to go with a sheep/fox hybrid but it just came out looking like a Pokemon. lol And it wasn't as cool as this.
