I went through and revised a few things....Most notably painted the majority of my darks with black gesso, to make them more contrasting, as a few suggested, and I thoughtlessly neglected to do at the time.Much cleaner and more truthful representation from my scan this time to. enjoy!

Wow. I thought that was an actual movie poster. Your work is amazing. I think you should have put in that female angel that came out of the ark and turned demonic, but that's just me. Other then that, the poster is excellent.

i totally encourage that Rocketeer work. I think you could capture the essential feeling of the film. It's about elaborating on the character and making him a bit more exciting, and you're on the road to that! Have fun, man. Talk to you later

well, i'm happy you think it looks enough like an authentic film marquee. a lot of my work is very inspired and influenced by the greatest poster artist out there, Drew Struzan, who did in fact do the Indiana Jones posters (Temple and LastCrusade) Thanks for the comments!

Tell me, how in the world did you manage to mix acrylic and colored pencils? and Where?! I must know before i regurgitate a tadpole or something.
You should design movie posters, or billboards, or illustrate chidren's books or do celebrity portraits or SOMETHING. This talent can't go to waste.

thanks for all your comments. I appreciate them all! the mix of acrylic and colored pencils is a technique of Drew Struzan's....airbrush acrylic over a simple graphite drawing, and then bring out highlights with colored pencils....he does it remarkably...
