Beautiful work, Richard. Much of the image is monochrome, making the corn stalks and the passenger car sides vivid in comparison. The dynamic line of the corn stalks emphasizes the dynamic line of the train. It also calls our attention to the back, to the water tower (?) and the passenger shelter.
That's beautiful tonality, holding detail in the drivers and the smoke! There's just enough blue in the background to tell us about cold byet remain monochromatic.

Thanks so much for the kudos! This flat light and snow cover is kind of challenging to shoot, but mixing steam with this crummy weather always seem to yield nice results. As the Strasburg steam operations shut down for a good part of the winter, it's not often you can catch it in the snow, so I get out there when I can...even though my 'old bones' can't take the cold well anymore!
