I saw this railroad on TV about 2 years ago when I watched Michael Portillo's Great American Railroad Journeys on BBC 2.
I'm wondering if this was taken from a drone or from on top of a silo? I think I can see a shadow of a silo on the cropfield beside the line

I took this shot from the top of an old grain silo that was converted to a 'view tower' at the Red Caboose Motel adjacent to the Strasburg Railroad.

I suppose the motel gets a lot of railfan guests.
Thanks for replying

It does get a lot of railfan business as it is close to both the Strasburg Railroad and the Pennsylvania State Railroad Museum...Also, you sleep in authentic railroad cabooses...

Sounds quite nice.
There's a hotel like that about 40 miles from my home a bit like that.
Its right beside the British 'East Coast Main Line' south of York

I didn't realize that the British railways used cabooses back in the day...

It looks like a nice stay right along the main right of way. Here is a link for the Red Caboose Motel here in Pennsylvania. I only live about a mile or so from this place...
