Description
Thirty years ago, Summer 1993. Amtrak AEM-7 #928 is looking sharp in her Phase III livery hustling a westbound Keystone train through Leaman Place. These locomotives quickly proved themselves on the Northeast Corridor and Keystone service becoming reliable workhorses. The first Amtrak AEM-7 entered revenue service May 1980, and the last AEM-7 ran a farewell tour for SEPTA on the Thorndale line in December 2018. Only 2 units have been preserved, #915 at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, and #945 at the Illinois Railroad museum.
