Description
currently burning my way through the Song of Ice and Fire series (just started on Storm of Swords) and I've been doing pen and marker sketches of the characters as I go along to help visualize the story better. I love the Game of Thrones TV show (I'll admit, it's what got me on the SOIAF bandwagon in the first place) but I'm trying to make a conscious effort to not just copy the looks of the actors and costumes.I'm not sure I made The Hound ugly enough here. Oh well.

I think you draw him well. GRRMΒ said Sandor Clegane wasn't that ugly, his face is plain-looking, homely.
I'm glad you didn't made him like in the TV show. The actor is great but he doesn't look like Sandor Clegane and he is way too old; Sandor is supposed to be 27 to 30 years old during the events of the books!

Despite how ugly and cynical he is, I always saw him as the most comprehensive character in the series.

I like this one. Somehow it reminds me of Guts from Berserk. I'm not a fan of how he's clad in plate and lamellar armour - but his upper arms are completly bare. Maille or at least some clothing would be appropriate. And as I mentioned in the Jon Snow picture, I don't like swords slung over the back.
Β These things nonwithstanding, I really like your version of Sandor Clegane. It looks very spot on.
