Description So I'm not all that great when it comes to drawing humans, so I decided to draw those from this (formerly?) famous hodgepodge of wonderful animated characters to get some practice (I also drew Elsa and Moana because some fans put them in the fandom as well)! I remember this grouping used to be really popular back then, but for some reason or another, its popularity kinda' started to go the way of the dodo. The funny thing about this was that originally, I wasn't even too interested in ROTBTD! And yet even in spite of this, I somehow felt a little down to see the fandom begin to fade, and so, I myself have taken at least some interest.

I guess there were two things which, originally, kinda' put me off about ROTBTD. Firstly, I didn't quite like the fandom's treatment of side characters (even if said characters were love interests and the fans were just trying to make a non-canon pairing). Most of the time, the side characters would simply be ignored. I remember, however, that some of these characters, like Astrid or Eugene, were sometimes even antagonized! Another thing that kinda' put me off was the fandom's treatment of Hiccup. In most ROTBTD scenarios, Hiccup would be depicted as this sort of skittish or runty kind of guy! I'm sorry, that may have been him before he met Toothless, but in both movies and all the series, Hiccup is practically a natural-born leader, carrying out operations, leading his fellow vikings into battle, and helping the archipelago develop a better understanding of dragons! Shouldn't that count for anything?!

On the upside, there were some aspects of the ROTBTD fandom that I did actually find kinda' appealing. One of those being that fans of different movies seemed to be interacting with each other a lot! I think the fandom may have really helped fans of some of these movies really broaden their horizons. For me, at least, HTTYD was the first of the ROTBTD movies which I saw (and in my opinion its still the best  ) but it was actually partly because of ROTBTD that I felt, more or less, inclined to see the other three movies. I thought Tangled and ROTG were great but Brave was just ok... Merida was cute though.   Another thing I suppose I liked was just the mere aspect of seeing these characters from different animated movies interact with each other. I dunno, I just thought the idea to be kinda cool.

Anywho, my contribution to the ROTBTD fandom, however extant or extinct it might be!

Actually, it's still going strong, though with the continuing plethora of CG movies, it's become an out-of-focus clusterfuck that puts emphasis on character above story.

Ah, I see. A bit sad though...
