It's an author that I wouldn't buy... I've read this particular book because it was an offer and my friend (a fav. of hers) asked for my opinion as I was reading it.
It's pleasant and poetic in some parts, others are more difficult and subjective that one can interpet into reality and/or into the fantastic realm of where our own imagination leads us. Don't know any more of her stories. I'm glad that you have access to the collection without spending money on.

Did you ever see "Girl of the Limberlost"...must have read that when Iwas a young teenager..I always remembered the title for some reason.Forgot about it then I happened to see that there was an old film of it..I thought it was so boring when I watched it .I have the book somewhere but can't find it ..A first edition 1909 Β was sold for 100dollars.It was by Gene Stratton Porter..He wrote others....Wonder when mine was published

I don't think I have read the book, but I've watched the movie from 1990 on tv, as I made a research as you asked me if I knew the story, in it they 2 into one Freckles and A Girl of the Limberlost

You are a complete wonder!!!!.....What fabulous links they are!!!The books I had I acquired from a great uncle.......he had got them from someone else...My other books were about Canadian fur trappers and the slave trade in America....As we moved house so often most of them were left behind!!!
