But I've never seen such a different looking mate. THEY are truly fascinating birds.
They just don't like to fly much, usually just to cross the road...safely, in the air!!!

As we drove up a hill while we were there a pheasant mum crossed the road with about 6 or 7 babies,,,,we stopped the car and she stood in front of it while the babies continued crossing!!!
