Backstory Basics:

Due to a rise in villainy, corruption and ecological collapse, the citizens of Aero York were scrounging for answers as they demanded justice for the destruction of their beautiful Earth... Until Aero-Achnid coincidentally showed up! Ari comforts the uncertain public and acts as their beacon of hope in this time of desperation by fighting evil-doers, spreading positive vibes, sharing self-help tips, using paper straws and encouraging recycling!

Despite their celebrity status however, Ari's 'heroic deeds' are simply optimistic distractions orchestrated to draw the public's attention away from the real issues and lull them into a false sense of security. Unknown to the public and to Ari themselves, the villains that they fight actually work with Alchemax - a key benefactor to the slow destruction of Aero York - and stage their battles for publicity. Alchemax themselves created the spider that bit Ari in the first place, and everything else about Ari's new identity is manufactured to make them a likeable hero. The more that Ari 'helps' the world, the more they're actually damaging it by unknowingly being a corporate tool. Who knows what might happen if they find out the truth..?
