Description like i did with my She-Ra: Queen of Power, I wanted to imagine the story of He-man down the line. at this point i would imagine that Adam's grown old enough that it's no secret anymore that he's the He-man. so this would be a"return of the king" of sorts where after years of battling Skeletor's armies and freeing the people across the land, He-man returns to his kingdom to dethrone the lord of Destruction and take his rightful place as King of Eternia.
And as for my vision of Skeletor, I personally always liked the idea that he wears some kind of golden skull mask to hide his deformed face. I got that idea pretty much from the 'Grayskull' movie screenplay that was out there. and btw, if you've never read it, i highly recommend you find it. It's really good

aaaand ofcourse, He-man and the Masters of the Universe and Skeletor are properties of Mattel

Interesting reinterpretation of He-Man design, bringing in both vintage and 200X elements with some original ideas. Very nice colors, too!

well...its kinda a cool idea about skeletor very much like the movie with dolph lundren but still...a gold mask doesnt really fit skeletor. he was never ashamed of his face, he was rather proud if not annoyed by it.

Though I agree with you roknese, my aim with this piece was to do a little something different and I liked the idea behind Skeletors look in the 'Greyskull' movie screenplay. so I wanted to play with that. On the bright side, at the end of the screenplay, Skeletor does end up removing the mask and it reveals that he was decaying underneath due to the dark half of the power sword and is now pretty much a skeleton.
If you haven't read the screenplay, I highly recommend it, it was really cool.

well WAS supposed to be coming out. apparently Mattel wasn't happy with the amount of deaths or seriousness of it so that project is now dead. which is too bad because at the very least, afew adjustments could have been done to the script cuz it really was a well put together story and very compelling. i couldn't put it down and had goosbumps when i read how Adam became He-man. the suspense and drama and emotion that finally led to that big moment was stunning.

sad when matel ignores a franchise then tells other people they arent allowed to pick it up...

i'm sure they have their reasons. still though, it's taking longer than it ever should. 3 transformers movies, g.i joe movie and a second one on the way, smurfs, garfield... like really, it's embarrassing that the biggest franchise of the 80's is dragging its heels

well to be honest, the world heman lived in was based almost entirely around the toy line. as a matter of fact the original story of heman has been twisted so much that its barely recognizable even in the 80's cartoon. the characters, the vehicles, 99% of it is all generated for the sales of toys. while it made for a good cartoon, i can see where its much more difficult to translate into a movie that truely shows the spirit of the franchise. i mean, there HAS been a movie, dolf lunderen starred in it, and it was pretty damn terrible...
