I sit and ponder the ideals
Of fairy tales, epics, & stories
How the characters & world make you feel
What glories they hold to be told
I'm pulled in by the words & illustrations granted
Oh what power these are presented with
They truly hold a magic that can make one feel enchanted
And how I seek to be apart of that place

Oz, Neverland, Wonderland, Narnia, Middle Earth
How all these realms I long to visit
To venture into the imaginations of great minds who gave birth
To these worlds that long to live as we mundane folk do
Now here I ponder again, but of a different matter
Of how I can create a world of my own
How to protect my worlds, stories, & characters from shatter
Of reality's harsh, sharp blades of darkness and ice

Here I am, a creationist full of creations in my head
Constantly ever-expanding just as the universe is
A universe within my mind, making it weigh as heavy as lead
Refusing to cease in its expansion as I think and dream
Now I pray that this wonderful weight does not overwhelm me
For I love each and every world so
The only answer is that this internal universe gets to be seen
Or else these who I consider beloved may never see the light of day
