Description
Pokemon Trainer from PAX East 2012.

Costume construction;
Shorts were purchased, pocket detailing was done with cotton broadcloth, and stiff interfacing.
This is my third vest, and this one was actually a lucky thrift store find that I altered. Undershirt was bought and altered as well.
The bag is an old over the shoulder bag that I recovered in pink twill. The Pokeball on the bag, and the pink details on the hat are fabric paint. The stripes on my wristbands (which are bias tape) were also painted with the same fabric paint so they would match. The shoes were a super lucky thrift store find, that were painted and sealed. I still need to find a better may of doing this because I pretty much need to repaint them every time I wear them. They are also a little small too, but I just cant seem to find boots that top these ones.
My drag queen hair is accomplished by pulling my own ponytail through a hole cut in the top of the hat, and attaching the extension to that (The front pieces are my own hair).
