sort of inspired by two things actually. Fisrtly, made this: [link]just recently, and I was like, Ah! that reminds me of that manga! The one with the bird people!
(which is actually titled: song of the hanging sky by toriko Gin)
So, while I was trying not to fall alseep durring the Cognitive Psychology lecture, I sketched then inked this bird/angel thing. But I finnished too early so I did some weird designs on the clothes and I really got annoyed with her feet so... I just... didn't draw them.
You're probably wondering why all the sketching and the line art. Well, truth be told, I just haven't had enough time to start any big projects outside of class lectures.
*whines* I want my lengthy freetime back!
This semester is going to kill me. =_=

thanks but now... I think I'm all drawn out for a while. I couldn't draw in my bio class this last thursday, although, that could be due to the fact that I was tired, angry and otherwise unable to concentrate...

Really? Awww. We need to have a sculpture day soon, then. Or if no art, then I do have an unopened anime series? 13 episodes, could do a whole marathon.
Don't let school get you down too hard or you may never get back up.
Then again, sometimes you just can't draw. So breaks of sleeping and doing nothing are quite good, too.

I am increadibly bored in school. -_- zzzz
I'd probably start throwing things or tapping my fingers or folding paper or counting seconds or something else annoying like sleeping if I couldn't draw durring lectures. I hate sitting still while a professor is talking about something uninteresting. I swear, the classes just keep repeating information over and over. I think I've learned about human evolution three times in three classes the past two semesters, once last year in anthro, and of course we learned it in high school biology, middleschool and elementary... (god, there's only so much I can take of the same stuff >< I'm dying. Do you realize how bored I am now? I'm rambling for Darwin's sake!)
Sorry... just a little frustrated.

Mm evolution...we've done loads of that in summer school and biology and the like. Sometimes you realise all your subjects are telling you the same thing, like there was definitely a phase where everything was about atoms. I guess that should make sense seeing as everything's made of them, but...

Oh my flippin' god! DB The detail on this is just... amazing! And I love how there's so much movement and flow in this. Especially love the details on the bottom half. That's just... scary. DB And you did this with pen. ;_; *worships*

well, I did sketch it first. I can draw that nice with just a pen ^^, but thanks. (I did do all the kimono detail with out a sketch underneath though... *shrugs* I was super bored.)

well, I'd say it took me about 2hrs including the ink and detail. that class is rather long... and the picture wasn't able to take up the whole time. -_- I would have had enough time to do the feet if I had REALLY wanted to... but they were sooo frustrating and I didn't want to bother.

Your detail always astounds me. Looks fantastic.
But yeah, if you were attempting bird like talons, they look awkward on human bodies... the different iterations of harpies are some of the strangest creatures from myth in my opinion.

actually, I was trying to draw human feet, but I ended up getting frustrated because they didn't turn out the way I wanted. I thought about doing bird talons to but thought better of it ^^
