Side note: I dunno if anyone said it, but the thing thing is a variant of an undergarment called fundoshi. Sumos wear what's called a "mawashi", and upper-ranking sumos wear what's called a "keshΕ-mawashi" which is worn as part of the ring-entry ceremony. I believe that is called a mawashi, though they used to just wear loinclothes. Also, totally agree, we need more female sumo wrestlers. They do actually exist believe it or not, but there definitely needs to be more!
