I've been getting comments about skirts and stuff. So I though I'd try it out for the heck of it.I have mixed feelings about giving her a skirt. While the skirt is cute, I honestly prefer the jeans for various reasons. The jeans gives Twilight more spunk and charisma. Though this is just for fun.
Oh, the rarity glasses is a bonus, as she wears them when she make dresses. Another thing is that Rarity is already wearing a skirt in my design. The one trying out a skirt would be Twilight.

Twilight plus jeans equals: No, just no. I imagine twilight as a person who wears vests and skirts and probably leggings.
If anypony belonged with jeans, it would be.. Rarity. You see, they are all active and jumpin-all-over-the-place execpt for rarity and flutter.

That makes no sense. Jeans are worn by people who DO jump all over the place, and skirts are worn by people who don't. Unless you're a cheerleader, or like flashing people u_u

I also like the jeans, they're better on them. But they're good on Rarity's. On Twilight's, it's good. But kinda childish-like. But yeah, pretty accurate or whatnot.

If Equestria Girls looked like this, I wouldn't have much of a problem with it. Much. But I do think the skirt fits Twi better. More of a schoolgirl, bookworm look. The jeans belong to AJ, track shorts to RD, a breezy sun dress for Fluttershy, and Rarity and Pinkie have a bit more leeway in my opinion.

You know, Rarity only wears her glasses for a specific reason reminds me of the 10th incarnation of the Doctor, the main character for the TV show Doctor Who. The only difference is the Doctor wore HIS glasses to look smart.

1. Very cute skirt-Twilight, it does also give her more of the "traditional" schoolgirl look.
2. Rarity's working glasses also are a good addition to this duo shot, gives the feel that Rarity made the skirt for Twilight.
3. The pose between Twilight and Rarity towards the audience of "well, what do you think?" is good too.
4. I agree with your artisitic opinion that jeans-Twilight far better suits human-Twilight. Jeans-Twilight better represents her active nature, often having to go out into the field as much as she studies in the library.
5. One suggestion for skirt-Twilight, you could add a bit of colour splash on the skirt in representation of unicorn-Twilight's tail. Either a belt or a single vertical stripe matching her tail colours.

Someone actually suggested the glasses for Rarity. And I thought it would make a good narrative, where Rarity makes a skirt for twilight to try on.
Twilight pretty much is based on various girls I've met. My sister included. Lots of those girls have some resemblance to my human twilight. They're not the dressy girly type girls, but not so tomboyish that they lose their feminism. It's that balance in between. With the skirt, it kind of drifts away from my original ideals.
I've always wondered if it would feel tacked on to have a splash of her purple and pink streaks. So I just left it as a solid color.

well, it gives twilight the girly look. in my opinion, the jeans things in some humanisations of Twi makes her looks like she had a bit of tomboyish attitude on her.
