What do you see in the darkness?
When light is consumed and the moon comes out to play,
Let the darkness take you in,
Let the phantoms of the night take you in.
When the sun is up in the sky, shining down upon you,
Watch the shadows dance along the ocean,
The walls,
The pathways on which we tread,
The sparkled water ripples with each step,
The grass rustles with each step,
Graceful and delicate,
Don’t be afraid,
Enjoy the dancing shadows.
Don’t be fearful,
Until the sun fades into the peachy sky,
And when the darkness comes out to play,
Skulking around back alleys,
Creeping up walls,
Staring from behind the crowds,
A glance away and they’re gone,
Haunting from another spot,
Until the sun blooms again like a flower in spring,
And when the shadows come to play.
