Rose: *laugh* You are also dazzing in a tuxedo
Vriska: Look John, they're dancing! L8t's go!!
John: vriska! wait we didn't kill the last monster!
I did it! I did it! I finished this monster litterally! OMG 3 months to finish this one! Sorry to be so slow, but with school in the middle of it doesn't help at all >< Also my computer is really old (4 years old) and at the end it was really dificult to continue without waiting at least 1 min for the computer to process the information
So Monsterstuck...
Well as I said in thh B/W version everything started from the simple idea: Kanaya in a tuxedo, inviting Rose to dance.
I drew them, but I though at the end that I needed a background. First I had the idea of the actual prom night at school, but I thought it was too simple. And at the end I imagine the Monsterstuck universe.
So imagine a world where humans and trolls live together. But this world has a tiny problem: it is infested by monsters. So it exists a group of people, an organization, called the God Tiers, which fights against those monsters. The group gathers either trolls or humans willing to fight.
While the humans fight with their own power and weapons, the troll are helped by their lusus.
The kids and their fellow trolls belong to this organization, but still go to high school.
And tonight was the prom of their school. But when they were on their way, monsters attacked them, and they could do nothing but fight back. When they finished, it was really late. So instead of going to the prom to dance, they decided to dance there in the street, with Dave as the DJ...
Kanaya is wearing a tuxedo...because I believe she would be really sexy in one. And as a troll who loves fashion, she couldn't ignore this kind of outfit (because it does exist tuxedo for women XD)
I'm free now!! I can now go back to work and drawing other stuffs peacefully.

OK, let me get the negative stuff out of the way first so I can gust over how great it is. I have no idea what Kanaya's holding in her right hand, and, although I'm not a fashion monger, I think she'd look better in close-toed shoes.
Postive stuff: I LOVE this piece. Everyone looks great, and I like the little details like the fact that the heroes have some blood on them;I wouldn't have complaied if they emerged from the fight spotless and uninjured, but it's a great detail. I like the way the good guys' weapons litter the battlefield, and the fact that Kanya's and Karkat's cumberbunds match their colors. I REALLY like the fact that Bec looks like a Lusus (at first, I thought he was and was wondering "What's with that thing?"). Kanaya and Rose's dialogue is sweet and I don't care if "Dearling" is a real word or not, it's perfect. And Vriska and John's aside never gets old.
Mostly, however, I love the whole idea of this piece. The monsters make me fondly think of the things from Japanese monster movies or Power Rangers, and the set up sounds like a sci fi version of Buffy or a more upbeat version of Evangelion. Heck, this whole scene looks like it's the end-scene of a series or season finale. I can see a lot of potential here: The gang against giant monsters, rouge Lusus, or rainbow drinkers (Hey, Kanaya can't be the only one, right?). Or, any number of other monsters and villains. If rainbow drinkers are real, are vampires and Earth dragons real, too. This is one of the most evokative pieces of artwork I have ever seen, and you make a lot of imaginative pieces (Eva-pioloting Kanaya and Militarystuck are good examples). PLEASE, PLEASE make more pieces from this universe; write fanfiction or convince someone else to. I don't want to tell you what to do with your idea, but it's just so amazing. I. Is. AMAZING. Great job.

About the whole idea of the drawing, you are not far away from the truth XD ha ha
I imagine a story, sci-fi, Evangelion, Patlabor like, in which there are monsters everywhere and an organization is taking care of them for the security of the citizens. Rose is the only one without a partner during her missions, and so her boss (her sister Roxy in fact, worried about the safety of her little sister) decided to call for someone from France (why France...well I don't know maybe because I'm French), Kanaya to help Rose and to protect her XD
I really would like to write it (because I really don't have time to draw it, I already need to draw the militarystuck story, and it is not a small one) but I don't have time!!! D: (I also need to continue the Evastuck...but since I want to do it like an animation...I won't see the end of it x__X) I'm writing a 2-chapter Rosemary story right now...but I even don't have time to finish it properly recently because of school and other stuff. Maybe if someone is interested to write it with me XD ha ha It would be a lot easier
But don't worry eventually I'll continue it X3 (even if I intend to do a Prohibitionstuck story first...)

In fact, when Karkat was the only troll with no lusus, Jade was the only human with a guardian, really closed to a lusus. In missions, they were paired together to fight, and at the and they fell in love X3

Not sure, I may, I'll think about it. I would do it totally if the drawing had more views (because it's quite discouraging to spend 3 months on a drawing for a little amount of view) But since someone wants a story for this XD (even if I don't have any plot for the momnent and I'm waiting for my invitation for AO3) I may continue this...but first I need to do another project, and try to draw other characters (and not only Rose and Kanaya even if I love them a lot XD)
And about the idea, really it started from this simple idea: I wanted to draw Kanaya in a tuxedo inviting Rose to dance. And the monsterstuck universe appeared at the same time I was looking for a good background. Since I didn't want to draw a simple prom night...I suddenly had the idea to draw them outside, in the street with the other to have their prom...and suddenly why not adding the lusus and some monsters. So at the idea I had this idea of a prom night outside in a battledfield. And then I only had to find a good reason for the presence of the monster
