I knew nothing of the comics before the movie was announced, and seriously hadn't ever HEARD of Captain America until the movie. (I read Archie and Richie Rich comics as a kid, not superhero shit.)
Now that I'm all grown up and love muscles and playboy douchebags, I LOVE THE SUPERHERO COMICS!
And your comment was lovely and squeeful, not creepy at all. You would probably enjoy the film more if you saw Iron Man (the first one, at least) and Captain America first. And just so you know, I HATED all the Batman movies, Thor was ... okay and really disliked the Hulk movie, but loved the Avengers. I don't enjoy all movies in this genre.
