Description I found this beautiful model here on DA and the photographer, Paulscha very generously agreed to let me draw him. [link] I was intending to draw him as a young Snape, but the more I drew him, the prettier he got, and I realized, that there was no way he could pass as Snape, even for a rabid fan-girl like myself!! So I straightened out his nose, lightened his eyes, shortened his hair and gave him a bit of a cocky eyebrow and voila! Sirius Black is born!

Lovely! It's been a long stretch since I've had the chance to talk to Bronson, but I hope he gets to see how beautifully you've captured him.

Thank you! I'm so glad you like it. he is a very handsome young man, but not in the boring, traditional way. I hope he likes it too.

Actually, I think he's pretty short, but so am I,...it could work out between us!

Okay, you've got me. To tell if someone is short or not, there has to be something to compare with ... so draw Snapey next to him and I can tell you if he's a dwarf. Or draw me next to him and I'll love you forever, but make sure he's just a little taller than me. I hate towering above people (have done it for most of my life to most people I know, the feeling is far less nice than short people imagine )

I'd take over OR under when it comes to Snape! If you'd REALLY like a pic of you and sirius, email me some pics of yourself. tripper@pettraders.com I have a few things in my 'queue right now...but I'm pretty quick!

I take you for sirius, (or serious?) thanks for offering
And I'm trying to translate one of my stories, but a rather innocent one for a start

Heh - I recognised him instantly!

As a drawing in and of itself this is beautiful - you've given him a sort of classical almost sculptural look (it's all that greek statuary!! ) - and I can definitely see him as 'Sirius before Azkaban'!! Damn though - your style in this one reminds me of something, but I searched and searched and can't find any examples on the net - anyhow, it's got the same quality as a painting that I stood and stared at for AGES at the National Gallery once - kind of a 1930s style serene look. I like it!

Ha! sort of like our converstation about....that, uh, style of...propaganda poster type things.....heehee We're so eloquent!

I wish I had made his hair even shorter, but alas, the dark penci does not erase well! I also wish I had attempted the wonderful leafy background in the photo, but I'm too chicken..AND LAZY!

I remember that one! And have vague memories of a few others too... Oh we are so terribly eloquent! (I truly am hopeless at remembering this stuff - after doing art history and everything!! Stupid brain )

I'm with you on the lazy thing! Unless a background can be done *really* quickly - pfft! I just photoshop some colour and stuff in! But you shouldn't be chicken!! The Greek one was niiiiiice!!!!

Thanks, but I'm still not happy with the greek background. And goodness knows, the best way to improve at something is to ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist!

There are other ways of improving at something?? I don't believe it...although...hmm...maybe the less conventional 'not ignoring it and actually studying' would've helped with my Latin.....

Ahhh backgrounds...so much effort for something that's not naked men....

Oooh didn't think of that - 'bout time I had a new one actually....making love to trees is overrated (scratchy you know)...

I might change it over!
