Another photo of the Grand Canyon's South Rim, taken in December, 2004 with one of the early digital cameras.

Note the cloud cover as it was raining that day. Closer to the observation point, one couldn't really see the details and colors of the canyon (see my other photos of the North Rim on a bright sunny day).

You can truly see the size, scale, vastness, and depth of the Grand Canyon. See the green ribbon on the left side of the photo at the deepest point? That's the Colorado River that carved the canyon.

So I am fortunate to have visited both the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon, even if it took many years apart. Please look at my more recent photos of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon taken with a newer, lighter, and better digital camera on a bright sunny day.
