Description
I feel my Native blood
Welling up inside

I feel the forest’s heartbeat
And the spruce-trees’ pride

I feel the melodies
Of sun upon the wind

And I sing about the wonders of the world that I live in

I feel my Native blood
Welling up in me

I hear the song of life
And sap in growing trees

I hear the crickets chirp
And song upon the breeze

And I marvel at the wonders of the world that I live in

I feel my Native blood
Welling up to sing

I smell the scent of moss
And forests in the spring

I smell the dew-wet grass
And rain upon the wing

And I dance about the wonders of the world that I live in

I feel my Native blood
Welling up in me

I feel the crashing waves
And smell the salty sea

I smell the shining breeze
And feel the twilight’s gleam

And I sing about the marvels of the world that I have seen.

I hear the mountains cry
And hear the forests answer

I hear the singing stars
That glitter in the dark

I feel and smell the world
And all that there is in it

And I know there’s even more than what I’ve seen.
