Freeport Commercial Hub, Southeast of Avania, xx32 (colorized)I had to make a stand-alone version of this panel from the latest Avania comic page… It was a slog to plot this stupid thing out and fill in all the details, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I think it’s just kinda neat to look at!

Such a nice design! This thing look like a mix between a flying aircraft carrier and a 19th century train station! Can it move by itself or does it remain stationary?

(Whoops, I've done that too.) But anyway, thanks! Its primary function is as a floating dock, so it generally remains stationary. However it does have small, adjustable fans on the bottom of the hull to mitigate drift, so it technically can move under its own power--albeit very slowly. If it was to be moved longer distance, it would require tugs to tow it (which may also be required after severe storms.)

Thank you for the explanation! I see you have thought about many technical aspects of your creation. I hope to see more of it as we follow the story! By the way, my universe will also feature flying ships, as the title of of it us in fact the name of the main ship of my story.

You're welcome! I like to think about the background info of the setting quite a bit even if I don't discuss it in the comic itself... Though I will be dropping a bit of info at certain points in the future, so stay tuned for more!
And sweet, I'm always curious to see how other people handle the tech (both real and fantastical) in their own settings, so I'll be watching out for that too.
