Description
The Shortsnout Wyvern or Pachyrincho Wyvernensis finds itself to be among the more common wyverns, often found in high mountains and covered forest slopes, Shortsnouts make caves and grottos their home. Due to this they often come into conflict with the infamous Mountain Dragons. Shortsnoits have developed quite an intriguing manner of hunting, similarly to the tactics of many falcons, Shortsnouts will fly big up into the air, taking off form the many balconies their mountain homes offer, once they have attained a preferable and semi-hidden position, they will glide above the clouds in search of prey. Once they have spotted their target, with almost prefect visual accuracy, the Shortsnout will dive ferociously, attaining speeds unthinkable by any other flyer, and will mercilessly ram into their prey, often killing instantly with a direct hit, if their target doesn’t immediately die, their body will be too broken too resist the Wyverns poisonous tail barb or sharp teeth and claws.

Shortsnout Wyverns aren’t the brightest amongst their kin, resorting to brute force if retreat is not an option and this makes their interactions fairly one sided, females are said to be less violent then their male counterparts but they too will defend themselves with dangerous ferocity..
Alike their diverse kin, Shortsnouts find their strength in numbers and as they lack the brute force to hold their own individually against the powerful dragons that they share the biomes with (most notably Great and Mountain Dragons in particular).
A Storm of Shortsnout wyverns will count up to 3-4 males and 1-2 female individuals.

When provoked, Male Shortsnouts will puff out a pair of pouches on either side of their necks, they can rapidly secrete a plume of gas from their throats that resemble a mass of dark, nauseating smoke. They are the only other Wyvern with a clear breath attack and due to the extinction of the Fire breathing Wyverns they are now the only ones.
