Kulan or onager is not a mule. Despite it's look, it's very close relative to the domestic horse. They are the fastest hooved animals Also they can't be domesticated(

Equus hemionus kulan, Turkmenistan onagerThey still live in some Asian deserts, but really endangered. Bigger than a donkey, smaller than a horse. They get used to the human, but cannot be tamed (there might be exceptions). Much more peaceful with each other than Przewalski horses, keep closely together (yet try to beat other female's newborns )Also, this is the fastest living ungulate!
