Description Woke up on a sunday morning at 10 am, did a little laundry, had some Earl Grey tea...sat down on my bed, sun shining bright outside, little cold and fever, Travis, Keane, James Blunt, a little Vivaldi. On the floor the books I should've been reading...Got off my bed at 15pm, this is what I ended up with.

Lets say it was the fever that caused the fact that this looks nothing like the stock I used
...or artistic freedom or something.

It kind of looks like Orlando Bloom, lol! I love the lighting and detail in this, you've done the shadows perfectly. The eyes are so perfect; I'd say, no offence to the original stock artist, that your drawing looks even cuter. What pencils did you use for this great drawing?
Although the guy looks flawless, I think the lips could be slightly fully, and not so thin. Maybe softer tones around the eyes? I'm not the best drawer, so don't listen to me lol. It's an amazing drawing, so keep it up!

Orlando Bloom?! Oh no!
Hmm...If I remember correctly I used HB, B5 and B7 and then just some colouring pencils I...borrowed...from school
thanks for the comment and the fav, they mean a lot

Wow, this is good! The tone shading is almost perfect.
I like the subtle touch of colour you used like on the lips and the yellow reflection.
The eyes are incredible, it looks like he is staring deeply at something...

I think its better than the stock you used

That looks terrific sis!

I love the work you done in the yes, they're beautiful, a little odd shaped but you can't really notice it, unless you stare at them for ages like me . The cheek bone seem alittle funny, but the illustration still looks amazing! !!! That's what you are, and I'm constantly impressed with the qulity of your work, keep it up, its a gift. ^_^

Great composition of the piece, although possibly next time aim for a more even shading.

Its a good drawing, no doubt, although there are little things you could have done to add even more impact, such as a flatter and cleaner shadow, and a little bit more work on the lips to make them look more natural.

As a whole though, I like this a lot, lovley work

I see what you mean, thanks for the comment!
I'm just not much of an artist when it comes to the parts when patience is needed, such as fine details and making the dark areas more solid though on the other hand I quite think the plain, simple look works well with the title..?

TheTrueDanteSparda In reply to Triviaali [2006-03-14 14:29:31 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I see what you mean with the simplicity, I guess its just down to the viewers point of view.

Very interesting work - I'm glad the stock was useful for you! The eyes look particulalry good, although for the sake of offering critique, I'd mention that they look very big in comparrrison to the rest of the face, most notably the mouth. But heck, it's got some lovely shading at work in it, and the subtle uses of colour are most intriguing - well done you on producing a sucha lovely image
