Pepper was owned by a cook and lived with him and his family. The cook owned a small restaurant in which he taught him how to cook. The gimmick of the restaurant was to eat food made by a marmoset and this did bring in the people. Serving people the food he made was a thrilling experience. It wasn't until a famous chef had wanted to hire Pepper's owner to work in a higher up restaurant that it was trouble for him. The owner took the offer and Pepper was left with his owner's family. Eventually the family travelled often when the owner got famous and had no time for him. People in the fancier restaurants were disgusted by the idea of a monkey cooking their food and so Pepper was dropped off in the small town of Pawsville where he is to live his life without a family. For now.
