Lonchura oryzivora, or also known as javan finch or javan sparrow, is a species of grass finch widespread in Java and Bali. Due to its striking colour, it is a popular cage bird. They are quite popular in Japan and quite successful as introduced species outside its native range. But unfortunately it is threatened in its own homeland.
