Okay so I know I said I’d get the design for the European dragon (Tyron) done but I’ve been (and will be for the next couple of weeks) around horses so expect so more horse based stuff for the next while.

So Kirins, they happen when a unicorn and a dragon attempt to cast a spell together, it can only happen when the dragon is either the same size or larger than the unicorn. They are considered a myth by most and is the cause of some of the distrust between the 2 species. It’s thought that once a unicorn and dragon merge into a Kirin, they are stuck, however they are not but currently only 2 (1 dragon and 1 unicorn) know that.

A Kirin can vary in looks but typically have aspects of both beings involved. The single horn on the forehead is standard, the style and any other horns/spikes depend on the dragon. Any markings on the dragon related to their magical prowess appear when they are a part of a Kirin. They will always have underbelly scales, it the amount of scales covering the rest of the body will vary from Kirin to Kirin. Colouring is typically more dominant to the dragon’s colouring, but will vary.

Kirin will only have ‘phantom’ wings if the dragon had wings. They are the same as the dragon’s, and are always slightly see-through. They are only good for short distances.

The mane and tail style vary depending on what the base element of the dragon is.

Okay that’s all I’ve got on them so far, I might add more later but that will be put in the google doc (I’ll be putting most of this info in there at some point this week).
