But the Kaleds were human/humanoids, so the MLP equivalent should be ponies too. If you haven't seen it yet, you should check out Genesis Of The Daleks, not just introduced Davros but RTD has stated it as the opening fire of the Time War.

I'm sorry, but the head is all wrong for Davros. He's the creator of a race of cyborg space Nazis, he should look scary as well and Granny Smith's head is not threatening. I pictured disfigured colt head with some wrinkles.

bison are a different species and so are dogs and griffins in the MLP universe and they have a certain autonomy with ponies as well as signs of an organised civilizations of sorts. Though humanoid, davros was certainly not human in the strict sense of the word.

im sorry if you still see granny smith, but i chose it for reasons of resemblance rather than horror

No, I meant they were humans only dark haired & dressed in black uniforms. Doctor Who tended to use a lot of aliens that were just human actors in costumes back then.

No, I completely understand. I'm also a whovian (though my fav is the cybermen). I believe since the bison, griffins, dogs, zebras and ponies share the same world I would not think it at all strange or out of place for a pig to be the creator of the MLP Daleks.

Having the Kaleds & Thals be ponies would be more potent. The ponies we're familiar with are all about love & tolerance, having two different groups of ponies on another world trying to kill each other in a war would spark the start the events that would result in the birth of an inorganic race of killers.

I'm not saying making the MLP equivalent of a DW race be pigs aren't bad. In fact, how does the Hogstarans sound?

Yeah, I used the Granny Smith head and modified it to suit. It was really the only choice for doing Davros for me. It was just so perfect
