Description Little known-fact: The Wizard of Oz celebrated its 70th anniversary this year on September 24th! The Empire State building was lit up ruby red for the occasion. It made me all kinds of happy.

I'm not a fan of uploading stuff so close together, but I figured this needed to go up now if it was going to have any relevancy at all. Just finished it this afternoon for fun, when I had a billion other things I should have been doing. But it was fun with the sort of forced perspective and trippy Yellow Brick Road--suitable I thought for a movie that is so campy and so thin you don't really take it seriously anyway, so it's just totally fun and candy and gleefulness. And it kind of secretly makes fun of itself. You know it kicks ass.

If you truly don't think it does, you must at least agree that Judy Garland was phenomenal, or you... you'll just have to go somewhere else.

I don't know who the Wizard of Oz belongs to, which is an Oz Fail. D8 But it doesn't belong to me.

The textures I got from here: [link]

mmmh that's original - don't even remember having ever seen an Oz fanart - and great (I ofently have the song in my head and today won't be an exception thanks to you )
Dorothy's expression of surprise is perfect to let us dream. I like a lot how you did her dress (you're so good at dresses), the pattern on it and old fashion colors you choosed.
plus, the puppy is soooo adorable !!!

I like it, and I like the color scheme. Written by L. Frank Baum, but I dunno about ownership.

It's public domain, I believe, though the Judy Garland version belongs to MGM.

I love the palette in this one! Her expression is very appropriate somehow... faintly dazed and bemused, I like it. Beautiful work (and the gingham is a great touch too)!
