Was at Roma St Parklands looking for macro opportunities and this fellow held his head up for me. Was surprised at the colour on his chest. He's an Australian Water Dragon.Related content

Its a Male.. I dont think Females have that colour, its a lovely looking reptile.. I must go there to Roma St Parklands when its cooler..
Another place you will see plenty is the City Botanic Gardens on the river a short walk so they say from Roma street and of course at the newer gardens at Mt Coot-tha the Water Dragons walk around everywhere and are not the least frightened of us humans, we always drive to these places.. You will also find them at South Bank.
