The first one with the fleas make me think of that Family Guy moment when Stewie in the beginning of one episode was dreaming and then found he had fleas, I can imagine Stewie's voice going with the first strip when he yelled fleas.

Nothing really to get they are just suppose to make John look crazy and I don't know about you but i have never tried getting a sock to fit over my head or yelled fleas and then ran away from nothing.
