Real Name: Arlee Hicks

Powers: Superhuman strength and Muscle Mass
Story Then: A member of Generation-X, a group of young mutants lead by Banshee and Emma Frost. Buff hated the new muscular look of her body after her powers awoke. She and the rest of Generation-X defeated the mad scientist, Dr. Tresh.

Story Now: After an altercation with some of her teammates Buff, along with her boyfriend, Refrax left Generation-X. Years later Buff is found by former X-Man, Spyke and S.H.E.I.L.D. agent Buzz Mason working in a soup kitchen.

Mason told her about forming a new team of mutants. Buff initially refused Mason's offer but reconsidered when Mason told her that Dr. Prescott can help her better control her powers. After recruiting other mutants including Refrax, they went to the town of Skull Mesa.

Prescott and the mutants Medic and Watchdog helped her by now giving her the ability to turn off her powers and give her a normal body. Buff is now proud to be called the powerhouse of X-Works.
