The most you can say about it is that it is aesthetically pleasing, and even then... that's completely subjective.Β Objectively, Natsu is more important than Gray to Lucy, and Juvia is more important to Gray than Lucy. Β There's a reason why Lucy rushes to Natsu side and cuddles with him naked, and basically ignores Gray. There's a reason why Gray and Juvia commit suicide for each other, with Lucy being nowhere to be found.Β Gruvia at it's weakest is Gray being tsundere to Juvia's advances, and at it's strongest is Gray opening up to Juvia's love. NaLu at it's weakest is an extremely trusting relationship, and at it's strongest is Lucy's deep affections for Natsu. GrayLu at it's weakest is Lucy and Gray barely interacting with one another, and at it's strongest is a normal friendship. A "normal" interaction for Natsu and Lucy, like talking to each other, is basically the "strongest" interaction that will happen for GrayLu. A "strong" moment for NaLu, like Lucy rushing to hug Natsu, downright doesn't exist for GrayLu. NaLu moments like Lucy warming Natsu up with her naked body is stronger than all the GrayLu interactions in the series combined.Β

What you explained here reminded of something I read regarding well-written relationships. To rely on someone to an emotional level means opening up to say person. You mentioned how Gruvia at his best involves Gray opening up to Juvia: him claiming he'd take her feelings seriously something both touching and remarkable
The differences on how Lucy behaves toward Natsu and Gray is something people tend to forget. That's why I missed your analyses so much, for you're one of the very few people capable of drawing such differences in such a clear way: Lucy's rushing to Natsu's side, and cuddling with him naked despite her embarrassment out of the deep affection she feels for Natsu
