Handy Tip: Don't use too much spray adhesive, or it'll leave shit all over your black layers!

I use Krylon repositionable adhesive...let it sit for a few seconds before applying the stencil to the canvas (or board or whatever you're gonna paint on). Never leaves any sticky residue.

I bet that's my problem. As soon as I spray the adhesive on, I stick it right down. Next time I'll wait a bit and see what happens.
