Well, that's a good start! But, if I may, I can give you a few tips on how I shade things.

Alright, well, let's start!
First off, don't put a 'little' around the corners. Put a LOT. It really depends on the light: if it's daytime, shade it a few shades darker. If it's dusk, then you might want to considering taking it down to black.
Secondly: you say shading. The next step is one that some new artists completely disregard- you don't ONLY shade, you have to highlight, too. As well as making some areas darker, you have to make some areas lighter.
Practice doing those two for now, after you've mastered them, I'll explain some more advanced shading techniques.

Opposite of shading. To shade is to make a place darker- to highlight is to make a place lighter.
