Yay! Finally, another deviation. Sorry it took me so long. I had summer school and it was slowing me down on my work. It took me more than a month to finish this but I finally finished it yesterday.This is the very first picture that I colored on Photoshop. I'm pretty proud of it, considering it's the first time I did it on Photoshop.
I'd like to thank for the awesome tutorial on waves and for the excellent cloud tutorial. I'd also like to say that if it wasn't for 's Poupu Promise picture, I wouldn't have a background, so thank you for that.

This is a very well put-together picture, great composition with a mix of foreground and background. It's good that you didn't get overly detailed with the background, so that the focus remains on Sora and Kairi.
You also did a great job with their outfits. You put a lot more effort into the zippers than I usually do xD
On the constructive side, their faces could use a bit of work, though the biggest thing comes in the shape of their heads, namely Kairi's. With her head tilted the way it is, you wouldn't see a lot of the right side of her face, which means you could shave off a lot of that part of the head. That would keep it from looking like Sora's head isn't quite attached.
I just spied the submission date, and this is a fairly old piece, so hopefully you've progressed from here xD I'ma go check out your other work just to see, but hopefully this comment is still welcome.

Oh my, thank you so much for the constructive criticism! Of course it's still welcome, and I HOPE I have progressed from here. 
I love the design for Sora and Kairi's clothes, so I wanted to make sure I detailed as much as I could of them in my drawing.
I absolutely agree with what you said about their heads and faces. I had a bit of a trouble there, so I'll keep in mind what you said. Again, thank you very much for the constructive criticism!

I'm glad you appreciated it ^_^ You've definitely improved, and I really recommend working with source photos. That's been one of the best things for my art, having a reference for proportion and perspective on those difficult or complicated arrangements.

Oh yes, thank you so much for the suggestion! What kind of photos do you recommend working with? Photo stocks, magazines, anime/manga, anything?
Well, whichever one it is, I will definitely consider working with photos until I feel more comfortable with proportions and such. I tend to use a few references here and there and combine them into one drawing, but I think it's probably best to take a photo and draw something from there.

Definitely work with stock. It's a good habit to get into when you get to the point where you're looking to sell your art. dA's got a huge wealth of stock images to work with. I often just do random searches and save pictures I find interesting, then look through them later on when I want to draw something. Often times you'll find a photo that inspires a drawing you wouldn't have thought of before.
It's definitely good that you find references for various things, certainly don't stop doing that. But at least for practice, working with poses from photos is very helpful.

I'm not a big fan of any pairing, to be honest. But I do think this looks good. Love the background and you did the detail of the outfits well.
