Once upon a dark and stormy Christmas Eve, a group of mischievous children were gathered around the fireplace, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Krampus, the fearsome creature who was said to punish naughty children on the night before Christmas.
As the clock struck midnight, a loud knock on the door startled the children. They huddled together in fear, unsure of what awaited them on the other side of the door. Slowly, the door creaked open to reveal a towering figure, cloaked in fur and carrying a large sack over its shoulder.
The children gasped in terror as they recognized the demonic horns and grotesque face of Krampus. But to their surprise, the creature only chuckled and began handing out gifts from its sack to each of the children.
"Ho ho ho," Krampus boomed in a jolly voice. "You've all been very good this year, and so I've brought you a special treat. Merry Christmas, children!"
The children, overjoyed, thanked Krampus and eagerly tore open their gifts. But as they looked inside their boxes, they were horrified to find that each gift contained a lump of coal. The twist, it seemed, was that Krampus had tricked them into believing they had been good all along, when in reality, they had been very naughty indeed.
