Absolutely beautiful! I go to a church in Colorado. I saved this for my pastor. She is from Washington. Her family owns cabin on Lake Chelan that her grandfather built years ago. She loves and misses Washington, a lot, but loves us even more. She has been our pastor for over 27 years. One day it rained on her birthday - she said that was a birthday gift to her from God.

Beautiful shot.

Something that can make a big improvement in landscape shooting is a Graduated Neutral Density filter. This is a filter that is clear on the bottom, then transitions to a neutral Density filter in the upper half of the image. This reduces exposure on the upper portion of the shot, giving you rich blue skies and great color in the landscape. This way you can meter for the lower portion of the shot and not worry about the sky. I recommend a 0.6 Soft Graduated Neutral Density filter for an all around best buy. Soft or hard denotes the transition from clear to filtered. If your camera is not a DSRL, where you can screw on a lens filter, you can buy one that you simply hold up in front of your lends.

This is a great example of using a Graduated Neutral Density 0.6 Soft Lens Filter: [link]
This is a great example of using a Graduated Neutral Density 0.6 Hard Lens Filter: [link]

A Polarizing filter can be used too. I can explain the difference if you wish.

You are welcome. I can send you some more information on Polarizing Filters and Neutral Density filters, and when to use them, comparison, etc, if you want.

I realize that you may not be super-enthusiastic about all of this photography stuff, so I don't push it on you.

Thanks….was taken near the top of McNeal Canyon. The canyon road leads down the Beebe Bridge and Chelan Falls.

Thank you very much.

I see your point. It was taken on the side of the road at the top of the plateau. I cropped the bottom to remove the guardrail but only slightly cropped the top. You think it needs more?

I do, just a little off the top and more on the bottom.

Thank you very much and thanks for the favorite.

It was a glorious view. That's a 2,600 food drop to the river below and then a 900 foot climb to the lake. The North Cascades are in the distance.
