Yes that was taken from the Monroe Street Bridge. [link]
This was the site of the worldβs fair, Expo-74β¦now part of Riverfront Park.

Yes it is...and I have several shots of Manito Park somewhere in my gallery. But this is Riverfront Park. It was a railroad switching center that became the site of the Worldβs Fair.

And... the largest city between Minneapolis and Seattle!

And that is what makes it the world's largest village. There is nothing to do there after 8:00 pm. However I do love the Davenport Hotel...thatβs where I was staying when I took these shots.

I'm envious - again. I stayed at the Davenport many times as a child; my grandfather would take me with him to Spokane. But I haven't been there since the restoration, and I would love to.

Oh dude! You would freaking love it! They did an amazing job. Most of the lobby area is the same as it was and all of the ballrooms were carefully restored. The rooms were all redone and the bathtubs taken out. In place of the tubs they built these fabulous walk in showers (easily big enough for 4 people). I could live in that bathroom.

Nice shot!! I've always thought about going to Spokane Falls, but haven't done it. I take it that they are at high flow?

Thanksβ¦.this is ways from to high flow. I should peak in late June or early July. There is still a lot of snowpack in the northern Rockies.
