Thank you very much - I was quite happy with how this one came out, as I had to use manual focus (As my lens couldn't decide which ones to focus on )

Oh yes, poor old autofocus isn't for everything huh? Don't know about you but in situations like that I try 'single point focus' but the damn thing moves around! I have it set to be the centre dot but it has a mind of its own and makes me very cross!

It is a very dainty and pretty photo

I can't work out how to use the single dot on this camera! I was trying to play with it yesterday

On my old camera, I could set either center, left, right, down or up. Then it focuses on the subject in that area. On this one, I can't work out how to do that - I'll work it out

Google it. My 6 year old grand-daughter tells me to Google everything, including subjects she want to colour in with her pencils. Her dad, the IT guru, told me a web address one day when she was 3 years old... 'whateveritwas dot com' and she said "Dot A U?" They're born web ready these days!

They definitely are tech savvy. Some are a little too addicted to the consoles / screens. I must admit, I'm very nerdy too... But I go outside daily, work and exercise. So I don't see the big problem.

I'll try googling it - I have the user manual, but it doesn't make sense to me

Ahhh, user manuals - what a waste of trees. Give me a computer screen or a book and I'll choose the screen every time. I have a cartoon of a man laughing at a newspaper article and his son saying "Oh is that good? What's the URL?" That's me!!!

No, I see no problem with computers either as long as it's balanced with sufficient exercise. I do squats and pushups when I stand up - which isn't as often as it should be LOL

You're so right - I found a thing on the actual Nikon website, explaining and showing you all the buttons for the focus and how they work. It fixed my problem straight away
