The goddess of darkness. From the time the sun god is born from the womb of the earth, she begins her hunt. Chasing him, pursuing him, along the path, through the sky. When finally she finds him, there is no mercy or regret. She kills him, slaughters him, and eats him. The devourer, the night, resting in her darkness, sated by her meal, she waits until the next morning when the earth goddess cries and the sun is reborn only to be sacrificed once more.
