I don't think Amazons would use a tank as it goes against their culture to use highly technical weapons. So, rather than hijacking the tank, my guess is they would pour copious amounts of oil in it and set it on fire. From a safe distance, they could watch it explode as the shells invite.

A tank is not a good weapon to use against agile Amazons who can easily evade its big guns. So, what likely happened here is that the Space Girls became frustrated that their mighty weapon could not defeat a group of primitive women, at which point the red head came out to shoot them with a machine gun. However, the skillful Amazons arrowed her before she could even fire, leading to the loss of the tank.
